Mother's Day Brunch & Plant Sale
May 8, 2011
Seating Times between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Cost: $18 for adults; $12 for children 6-12; children 5 & under are free
Treat Mom to brunch at Eagle Bluff this Mother's Day! Seating times are available between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Menu will be posted closer to the date.
Keep your garden plan in mind too! We will have a variety of vegetable plants for sale! All plants grown from seed in the Eagle Bluff greenhouse.
Reservations are required for this event and can be made starting April 1st, 2011.

She Is...Outdoors!

 This weekend will offer over 20 classes in a variety of venues, both for the outdoor and indoor enthusiast.  Class choices will include rock climbing, fly fishing, shooting, treetops high ropes course, hiking, canoeing, food dehydrating, crafting and much more.  Come and enjoy this beautiful spring weekend in the valleys of Lanesboro!  This is a great opportunity to relax with your girlfriends.  Grab your friends, family and neighbors!  Email sheis@integra.net for more information and to register.

Discover Root River Canoeing

Cost: $10 per person
Paddle 3.5 miles of scenic waters down the mighty Root River!  Regardless of your canoeing experience, you'll have an unforgettable adventure.  All equipment is provided.  This program is open to those ages 10 and up.

Summer High Ropes Challenge!
June:  4, 11, 18, 25
July: 9, 16, 23, 30
August: 6, 13, 20, 27
10am & 2pm
Cost:  $20 for those ages 10-17; $25 for those ages 18 & up
Join us on the ropes Saturdays throughout the summer!  Reservations are highly recommended.  Walk-ins will be accepted if space allows.

Becoming an Outdoor Family Summer Weekend
June 18-19, 2011
Cost: $80 per person OR $300 for a family of four and $75 for each additional person
Families will be introduced to a wide variety of outdoor activities in a safe, fun environment!  Activity options include: archery, fishing, shooting, rock climbing and high ropes course!  This event is co-sponsored by the Minnesota DNR

Water Adventure Camp
July 6-9, 2011
Cost: $275
For students entering grades 4, 5, 6 and 7
Get your feet wet with a field trip sampler highlighting the unique Root River Valley!  This area of Minnesota is known specifically for its fishing, river recreation, and caving opportunities.  We will be sure to make the most of what there is to offer!  Two out of the three nights will be spent in the dormitory, while the third night will be spent camping out alongside the Root River. 

Outdoor Adventure Camp
July 10-13, 2011
Cost: $275
For students entering grades 7, 8 and 9
It's time for an adventure!  Campers will spend their days experiencing all the fun the area has to offer.  Activities will include:  canoeing, geocaching, tree tops high ropes course, caving, and a night sleeping in a shelter of their own creation!  Campers will spend two nights in the dormitory.

Forkhorn Camp
July 17-22, 2011
Cost: $380
For students entering grades 6, 7 and 8
Are you interested in perfecting your ability to track a deer?  How about testing your aim at our gun and archery ranges?  Forkhorn campers will do these activities and more at this camp co-sponsored by the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association!  New this year, campers interested in receiving their Firearms Safety Certification will have to complete the online coursework prior to camp.  Time spent at the ranges during camp will fulfill the Field Day requirements.  Campers will spend four of the five nights in the dormitory and the fifth will be spent camping alongside the Root River. 

Night Owls Camp
July 24-27, 2011
Cost: $275
Students entering grades 6, 7 and 8
A camp for the true night owl!  Campers will experience life after the sun goes down through night hikes, star gazing, owl pellet dissections, and more!  Each night campers will stay up later than the previous and by the last night, campers will watch the sunrise before heading off to bed.  Rest assured campers will have at least 8 hours of sleep each day! 

Earth Partnership for Schools
July 25-29, 2011
The Earth Partnership for Schools (EPS) Summer Institute for Teachers provides participants with opportunities to learn about the cultural and natural history of ecosystems through a variety of inter-disciplinary hands-on activities and field experiences.  Teams of up to four teachers will begin to utilize individualized curricula and school action plans to create meaningful experiences for students through the process of ecological site restoration.  Application materials can be found online at www.eagle-bluff.org 

Firearms Safety Certification Course
August 7-9, 2011
Cost: $115 per person
Get yourself and/or your child certified in Firearms Safety in just three days!  This intensive course will cover everything you need to know to be safe this hunting season.  All meals, overnight supervision, class instruction, treetops course, and certification fees are included in the cost.

Open Rock Climbing
August 12, 2011
Session 1:  10am-12noon
Session 2:  2pm-4pm
Cost: $10 per person per session
Eagle Bluff is opening the climbing room to the public and everyone over the age o 6* is invited!  Harnesses, helmets and belayers will be provided...just bring your sneakers and a completed medical release form.**

*Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

People of all ages come to Eagle Bluff to embrace the wonders of the natural world.

Eagle Bluff is a residential environmental learning center nestled in the limestone bluffs seven miles north of Lanesboro.  While our main users are 4th thru 8th graders from 130 regional schools, we also offer: specialty weddings, conference facilities, and team building.

We attempt to use local foods whenever appropriate in our dining hall. A small garden is maintained on site for use in our kitchen.  We enjoy working with groups to customize their menus while in residence with us.
